A pair of c1880 Meiji period twin handled Japanese bronze vases. Relief decorated with birds on branches and with the handles in the form of bird's heads.
Each vase stands about 15 1/4 inches 39cms high and has a diameter at the top of 5 1/2 inches 14cms. The pair weigh 4.4Kgs unpackaged hence the high delivery costs detailed below.
One of the vases has a small puncture hole near to its base and a small chip about half way up. The other is missing the pins that fit the top part of the vase to the base, but it appears to be well and truly stuck together.
