A delightful little 4 inch high Davenport teapot dating to around 1820.. W Davenport & Co of Longport, Staffordshire were noted for their exacting standards. This is a particularly pretty teapot with lovely bright colours to the floral design that is painted on a black ground. The handle has been professionally repaired and any former damage is not noticeable. There is, however, a cracked area to the inside of the teapot where the bottom of the handle meets the body. A perfect display piece. Approximately 4 inches 10cms high.
