Dating c1880, large Staffordshire breakfast cup and saucer with loop handle, blue and white transfer pattern. Gilding to finish on the rim of the cup and to the saucer; now worn, particularly on the cup rim. In good condition with no chips or cracks, although some crazing and some even discolouration from age. A charming cup and saucer set. Cup measures 3 3/4 inches (9 1/2 cm) in height and measures 4 1/2 inches (11 1/2 cm) in diameter. The saucer measures 8 inches (20 cm) in diameter. Weighs unpackaged 820 grammes.
