A striking pottery plate - made by Wallis Gimson - dating around c1986. Reads James Fraser D D Lord Bishop of Manchester. Obiit Oct 22 1885. Not all regret - the face will shine upon me - while I muse alone - and that dear voice - I once have known still speak to me of me and mine. Tennyson in Memoriam. Registered number to the reverse side. Generally good condition - although with come crazing to the glaze and some wear to the gilding on the rim. Very minor surface chip to the underside rim. Plate measures approximately 9.5 inches both in height and width.
