Coalport Limited Edition of just 1000, King Williams College 150th Anniversary Isle of Man or IOM, 1830-1980. In good condition, with no chips or cracks, and reads to the back of the plate as follows " In 1668, Isaac Barrow, Bishop of Sodor and Man, put the estates of Ballagilley and Hango Hill, which now form the College grounds, into the hands of trustees. The foundation stone of the College was laid in 1830 by the then Lieutenant Governor of the Island, Cornelius Smelt, and the College was named after King William IV. Plate measures 10 3/4 inches (27 1/2 cm) in diameter, and weighs unpackaged 620 grammes.
