An impressive Bossons chalkware plaque, hand painted and made in Congleton in Cheshire, dating approximately to c1958. This is a very heavy and large piece, measuring 36 cms in diameter and 5 cms in depth. An interesting three dimensional effect, depicting a horse and carriage scene. This Bossons plaque is in remarkably in pretty good condition. Since the piece is made of chalkware it is very susceptible to damage, but there is not that much wear to the surface. There are signs of wear to the rim, odd very minor wear here and there to the front, but more noticeable to the back. Plaque is imprinted to the reverse side. This is in good condition compared to other examples of this type.
